An Anusara Yoga Retreat for Beginners
with Amy Ippoliti and Susan Rubin
at Jamaica Round Hill Hotel and Villas

Sponsored by Inward Bound at Round Hill

For the second year in a row, certified Anusara Yoga teacher, Amy Ippoliti and affiliated Anusara teacher, Susan Rubin are offering a retreat that is tailored specifically for beginner and intermediate yoga students. For those who have never been on a yoga retreat before, are new to yoga in general, have special needs, or for experienced yogis who just want to brush up on the basics and/or be able to attend a retreat with a beginner loved one, this is the perfect chance to kick start your year with a yoga practice, by learning in the focused, relaxed environment of a retreat. This New Year, enter a world of luxury at Jamaica’s Inward Bound at Round Hill!

The Caribbean's first great resort and still its finest, is proud to be in the fifth year of collaborating with Inward Bound to create an experience that combines the spiritual practice of Yoga with the luxury and refinement of a world class resort.  You will be nurtured and well taken care of!  Perched on a 100 acre, lush green peninsula, the spectacular villa where classes are offered is edged on one side by the dense Jamaican jungle, while stately palms and magical gardens meander down to a pristine crescent beach with a crystal clear beckoning sea.

About Anusara Yoga:
Anusara (a-nu-sar-a) means "flowing with Grace," "going with the flow," "following your heart." Anusara is heart oriented, inspiring and yet grounded in Universal Principles of Alignment for both inner and outer body. It is a unique, therapeutic style of Hatha Yoga in which the artistic expression of the human heart blends magically with the scientific principles of biomechanics. Anusara was founded and created by John Friend.

Anusara Yoga is the perfect style with which to begin yoga. Unlike other styles, Anusara’s alignment and heart-oriented focus creates good habits and sets the beginner up to progress more efficiently and more quickly in their practice of yoga. Years later, students who began their practice of yoga with Anusara retreats have reported feeling lucky to have started out in a focused, beautiful setting with Anusara, not only group classes back home.

Your days will look like this (Inward Bound Yoga Program):
Morning meditation and pranayama (breathing)
Breakfast
Anusara Yoga beginner class with Amy
Brunch and free time (afternoon tea, massage, golf, swim, etc.)
Restorative Anusara Yoga with Susan
Dinner
Evening free time and gatherings

"It is time to express gratitude. Our Inward Bound experience was simply sublime. From the moment the tropical air enveloped us with sweetness and anticipation at the airport, until we returned there Sunday afternoon, life simply slowed down, and, if you'll pardon the cliche, one could finally "smell the roses." We were able to allow a vast array of pleasures to come in... of the mind and body. Of the soul and spirit.

Feeling the beginnings of the mind calming, the breath evening out, and the body sl-o-w-l-y, gradually unknotting, unkinking, and letting go, letting go...This process continued right up until the very last classes on Sunday morning, and during the rush to the airport, I closed my eyes and tried to hold it close to me."

"There are no words to express how grateful I am for the support that you, Amy and Susan gave to my husband. Generosity, patience, humor, anatomical knowledge, even great physical strength...(he is heavy!) and teamwork. One of you was always there to help. And his improvement was so evident in such a short time. As you know, I am very hopeful that he will hold strong to the treasure he has just received. There is no doubt in any of our minds that he, like all of us, can benefit enormously from this work...in so many ways."
