FALL in LOVE:
An Autumn Retreat celebrating Anusara Yoga and Sound Vibration

w/ Amy Ippoliti and Manorama at Omega Institute, Rhinebeck, NY

As a team, Amy and Manorama are delighted to share the teachings from their collective
experiences as yoginis, with great love and laughter.

This weekend retreat allows you the time and space to practice yoga and to be immersed in the light-hearted healing environment of the Omega Institute.

Drawing from Manorama's deep background in Sanskrit, Meditation and Yoga philosophy, and Amy's extensive studies in Anusara Yoga, Pranayama, and Tantric philosophy, we will weave both sound and movement to deepen our understanding of Yoga, and to open the quiet light within the heart. This will be Manorama and Amy's 7th retreat teaching together, and the experiences just keep getting better and better!

The fall offers us the chance to reflect back on the past year, to "harvest" the abundance of our own efforts, to take stock of our lives, and create visions for the future. Each day we will share in quiet morning Meditation, Pranayama, and chanting of sacred sounds. We will weave readings from yogic texts, the chanting of sacred Sanskrit mantras and the practice of inspiring Anusara Yoga together to send the soul soaring.

Omega's lakeside campus is set on 195 acres of rolling hills and woodlands in the Hudson River Valley, just two hours north of New York City.

During breaks, enjoy the beauty of Omega's gardens and meditation sanctuary, the lake (kayak or canoeing available), and hike the colorful wooded trails. The friendly staff, the wonderful food, and the full service Wellness Center and sauna all support an unforgettable experience.

When we experience the silent space within the heart, our own radiant self is revealed. Treat yourself to this transformative and reflective weekend!

Program begins 2pm on Friday afternoon, and ends 1:00pm on Sunday. All levels welcome.

About Amy Ippoliti: A student of yoga since 1986, Amy's study of hatha yoga, pranayama, yoga therapeutics and yoga philosophy led her to become a certified Anusara Yoga teacher in 2000. She continues to be a leader in the Anusara community and has traveled extensively with Anusara founder John Friend, apprenticing with him nationally. Additionally, she has studied closely with Tantric philosopher and renowned scholar, Dr. Douglas Brooks since 1999. Amy leads Anusara Immersions, retreats, workshops and teacher trainings internationally, and is part of the faculty at the Omega Institute. She is known for her life-affirming and exuberant teaching style, offering her life experience with the potent Universal Principles of Alignment, elegant Tantric yoga philosophy, and therapeutics that embody Anusara Yoga. About Manorama: The Director of the School of Sanskrit Studies, Manorama leads workshops on the Path of Luminous Shabda, a path that combines Sanskrit, Meditation and Yoga philosophy. She leads workshops internationally.

Manorama's mix of earthy charm, deep scholarship and humorous teaching style were born from years of close study with her Guru, Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, the founder of Ananda Ashram and author of The Textbook of Yoga Psychology. Manorama shares the Path of Luminous Shabda, basing this work on the tradition that Shri Brahmananda taught her.

Manorama continues her studies in Sanskrit working closely with the president of International Association of Sanskrit Studies. She is a graduate of Columbia University. In 2003, Manorama produced a traditional Sanskrit Chanting CD, Sarva-Bhuteshu ('In All Beings').
